Carnival Cruise Line has announced five additional sailings to Havana, Cuba from Port Tampa Bay in 2018.
The Carnival Paradise’s new offerings will set sail next winter with a five-day cruise to Havana departing February 17, 2018. Two other five-day voyages to Havana and Cozumel, Mexico or Key West, Florida are scheduled to depart July 2 and Sept. 5.
A six-day sailing featuring stops in Havana and Grand Cayman will depart August 26 and an eight-day cruise calling in Havana, Grand Cayman and Cozumel will depart one week earlier on August 18.
All of the voyages will feature a day-long call and overnight stay in Havana, while the longer eight-day cruise will include two full days in the Cuban capital.
Once in Havana, passengers will have 20 different shore excursions to choose from. The experiences are designed to showcase Cuba’s landmarks and culture.
Meanwhile, highlights on board the Carnival Paradise include a 12,000-square-foot Spa Carnival health and wellness facility, a Serenity adults-only retreat, Seuss at Sea family programming, four swimming pools and a 115-foot-long water slide.
“Our cruises to Cuba have been very well received and we’re delighted to provide our guests with additional opportunities to experience and explore this fascinating and sought-after destination,” Carnival Cruise Line President, Christine Duffy, said in a statement.
“With the overnight, we’re excited that cruisers will be able to truly experience Havana nightlife. It’s a must when you see a destination as lively as Havana,” said the cruise line’s senior vice president of itinerary planning, Terry Thornton, after Carnival was approved to sail to Cuba this past February.
