Following her first career victory at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate and a tie for fifth at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, sophomore Haley Moore has been named the Pac-12 Golfer of the Month.
“We’re really excited for Haley to be named Pac-12 golfer of the month”, said coach Laura Ianello. “She deserves this award after her great play with a top-five finish at Palos Verdes and her win at Tulane. We’re playing this week in Tucson at SaddleBrooke (Golf Club) and she’s looking to bring home another victory. Haley has been working hard and is trying to become a first-team All-American and as well as to win the ANNIKA Award.”
Moore earns this award after finishing in the top 12 in all six events this season to go along with four top-five finishes. She has a scoring average of 70.55 on the season and 15 rounds of scoring par or better. Moore is also ranked No. 6 for women’s collegiate individuals in the country according to Golfweek.com.
At the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate in New Orleans, she carded rounds of 71, 70, and 69 to finish at six-under-par for the tournament, and winning by two strokes. At the Northop Grumman in Palos Verdes, Calif., Moore earned a tie for fifth place shooting one-under-par.
